The former leader of Femen Quebec and spokeswoman for Femen Canada, Kseniya Chernyshova (professional Xenia Sin) who works as a freelance Multidisciplinary Artist and a Marketing Consultant for an organisation who provides help for victims of sexual exploitation in Montreal (La Maison de Mélanie), was arrested on November 11, 2016 in the city of New York. Xenia spent 24 hours in jail, her personal money and phone are still confiscated. She was taken violently by the police while working on her independent self-produced docu-fiction called Political Playgirl, a film feared by the pro-sex lobby and judged as a promotion of prostitution by abolitionists. Xenia sees her scenario as another injustice to women and to people in general. Under the NY law, she was suspected to be guilty of Prostitution. Xenia denies all charges and was released on November 12, 2016. She was left with only one dollar bill on which she wrote the official Femen slogan: EVERY WOMAN IS A RIOT and 7$ dollars provided by her lawyer, Danielle Von Lehman. Xenia is impellent to appear in Court on 12-06-16 by 9:30 AM at 314 West 54th St, NY. Sex workers and academic feminists will be present in the Court to support Xenia Sin for every woman’s fight for dignity and respect.
All women are invited to join them to support and to witness an historical trial.
