Femen celebrated the opening of its German branch today with a protest aimed at shocking the Hamburg sex-industry. Naked and angry, armed with burning torches, the German sextremists marched in formation through the most famous brothel district of Germany.
With their torches held high, the activists shined a light on the horrifying reality of the sex ghetto, where well-fed citizens buy up living female flesh in single and in bulk, overwhelmingly imported from Eastern Europe. FEMEN activists stood together powerfully in their determination to ban the sex-industry as the last existing form of female slavery. At the main entrance of the red light district, FEMENists painted the most notorious concentration camp slogan "Arbeit macht frei" (Work will set you free). The FEMEN movement believes that brothels are sex-concentration camps for woman, and the sex-industry as a whole is the modern embodiment of faschism and genocide. The torch march was a war cry against the German sex-industry and its mafia guardians.
FEMEN Germany demand from the German government, to criminalize the sex-industry and hold its perpetrators, the client and the pimp, responsible. By doing this, they would bring an end to the shameless trading of women on the territory of the cultural-economical center of the European Union. "If in the near future we won't succeed in eradicating prostitution legally, we will have to fall back on illegal methods. "We will wash Germany clean of its shame as the European center of sex-genocide and this archaic form of slave trade", - announced FEMEN Germany leader Alexandra Shevchenko.
