DEMOCRACIA SIN MORDAZA

Two FEMEN Spain sextremists have overstepped the limits of the Congress in Madrid few minutes before the opening of the Debate about the State of the Nation in order to claim for the return of freedom in Spain.
That freedom is right now kidnapped by the Partido Popular(PP) government. Gag Law is unconstitutional, and it limits freedom of speech, freedom of association, assembly and right to protest. This law turns activists into criminals, risking fines from 30.000 € to 600.000 € for acts of pacific protest and resistance.

Gag law means insecurity for the citizenship and security for this corrupt government, which is using their own absolute majority in the parliament to put down the people more and more. With the slogans DEMOCRACIA SIN MORDAZA (Democracy without gag) and PROTESTAR NO ES ILEGAL (Protest not ilegal), FEMEN accuses the undemocratic nature of PP government and calls to stop the process to pass Gag Law immediately, forcing the project to desappear.
Debate is not inside the Congress but in the streets, where citizens are screaming for freedom. Spain needs to protect freedom and human rights before its too late, it had been already to many attacks to fundamental rights (public education, health cares, abortion, right to housing…).
UN alerted about the undemocratic character of Gag Law, today FEMEN is remembering it, making a call to all the international community to condemn this project and ban the PP government. We won’t keep silent, Spain won’t be silent. Protest is our weapon to protect our freedom, let’s fight for it because fight is a right.
FEMEN FOR FREEDOM SPAIN WITHOUT GAG LAW PROTEST IS NOT ILEGAL!
