FRONT NATIONAL INSULTS FRANCE !

This morning in Hénin-Beaumont, a delegation of “marrinistes” came to encourage its champion Marine Le Pen on the day of the departmental elections. Singing Vichy’s anthem in front of the polling station where the Front National’s (FN) leader votes, these “marrinistes” came to recall the true face of this fascist party.
The FN is a fascist party that insults France. Obsessed by its xenophobic patriotism that carries “national preference” as a leitmotiv at all levels of society, yet the Front National defends a program that despises the reality and the richness of our country. The fascist ideology is brought through a reactionary ideal of national and racial purity where individuals are denied in their diversity and plurality in favour of a uniformed mass that would be embodied in a providential figure, that of Marine Le Pen. Through her binary vision of society being divided into the “patriots” and the “traitors”, the “native French” and the “immigrants”, the “good people” and the “bad people”, Marine Le Pen infantilises politics and brings it down to the manipulation of the aspirations of the electorate, which does not prevent her from criticising the same process made by the other parties.
The FN’s revisionist theories illustrate the party’s will to rewrite History by exalting violence and a militarist mystic. Its homophobic and sexist conception of the family as an “institution allowing to preserve national identity” at the expense of one’s identity, considers women’s rights only through the scope of their reproductive function.
The Nation seen by the FN does not derive its “greatness” from its own qualities, but from the opposition to other peoples with whom any rapprochement is considered as a “decadence of Western identity”. Finally, the FN borrows the fascist strategy by creating ideological alliances with various European parties as reactionary as themselves, and with the authoritarian and imperialist regime of Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
Given what we have learned from the dark episodes of European History, we can not tolerate the trivialization of the fascist ideology which impregnates the FN. Let’s never forget that a certain Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler came to power by parliamentary vote being supported by blind masses driven by a fascist drift coming from their reactionary discourses.
The FN is an insult to the humanist and progressive France.
