Today, the government and the clergy stand together before Canadians in an attempt to legislate against human rights for women. The Government of Canada organizes this national Anti-Abortion rally on Parliament Hill with the Christian lobby in an attempt to make abortion illegal in Canada – in an attempt to make women’s rights to choose what we do with our bodies and our lives illegal in Canada.
This shows how openly Canada is closer to a theocracy than to a democracy, as Stephen Harper is leading a sacred Christian war on women’s rights and democracy since he is in power. Such permission to Christian morals and patriarchs to invade Canadian politics with the sole purpose of keeping women in a state of servitude to male domination is stripping women from fundamental human rights.
We are FEMEN and we fight patriarchy with what it takes away from us: our bodies! Used on our terms, as subjects not objects, our bodies are a grave-digger for the system; because no religions, no politics should ever kidnap women’s bodies, lives, and subjectivities! Religion, out of our government! Women before God!
