FEMEN wants to denounce the systematic disappearance of students, journalists, activists for democracy, feminists and politicians from the opposition.
The oppression and impunity within the Mexican government pushing the people has to stop.
2nd January, Gisela Mota, mayor of Temixco (Morelos) was executed in her house few hours after taking her charge; 23rd December Alberto Guzmán, leader of the popular community of Chilpancingo was murdered near his house; 19th December Martín Negrete, leader of Unión Campesina Obrero Popular Independiente (UCOPI) de Guanajuato was also murdered near his office; 25th December Heraclio Rodríguez’s (El Barzón leader in Chihuahua) son was shot in el Ejido (Juárez); 21st December several communal lands holders asked for protection in Ayotitlán (Jalisco) after being threatened for fighting for the rights of their lands.
In Morelos, the court is about to release with protection the murderers of the FPR (Frente Popular Revolucionario) activist Gustavo Salgado. The ideological murderers are still free and they were not judged.
Massacres and armed attacks from PRI’s government to the people are normal strategies to keep the power and make the country live under fear and terror where torture is a normal policy.
The 43 normalists disappeared in Ayotzinapa, the students who disappeared in Tierra Blanca (Veracruz), the multiple murder in Narvarte (Mexico City), where six journalists were killed because of their criticism to the government and their defense of Human Rights, those are some of the huge number of cases which are set aside, silenced and hidden by the authority and its criminal mafia.
Organized protest in memory of the women disappeared in Ciudad Juárez during the visit of the Pope in Chihuahua was forbidden not just by the Mexican State but also by the catholic hierarchy.
Silence is not an option when the earth behind our feet is calling for justice and freedom. Justice for all those who are victims of this evil, bloody, corrupted, and repressive government. Freedom for all those who are still fighting for democracy and Human and Women’s Rights in Mexico.
FEMEN condemns the impunity of the Mexican State, its repression, silence and corruption, its crimes and persecution to the people, the independent press and journalists, and to all those who are defenders of Human and Women’s Rights.
